The polling for elections to the Central Council and the Regional Councils of the Institute will be conducted on 4th & 5th December, 2009 at the polling booths located in Ahemdabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi/New Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune and on 5th December,2009 at the polling booths in the remaining centers.
Attention of Candidates for Elections to the Council and Regional Councils Compliance to be ensured by candidates, their authorised representatives/supporters/volunteers, in particular, and members of the institute, in general, within as well as outside the zero tolerance zone in relation to polling booths set up.
The Institute’s attention has been drawn today to an SMS purportedly sent from a code source viz. `TM-ICAI ELC’ which tends to give an impression that the same has linkage to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and its election in an abbreviated form. It has also been brought to our notice that the concerned message has reportedly been sent to all the members of a particular region.
