Manmohan Singh will stake claim to form the Government on Tuesday. Manmohan Singh along with Congress President Sonia Gandhi will meet the President Pratibha Patil with the letters of support from the UPA’s alliance partners, independents and other parties.
The Congress-led UPA alliance has 262 MPs and is still 10 short of achieving the magic figure 272. It seems that UPA will have no problem in reaching this mark, as there are several politicians queuing up to offer support. But before the meeting with the President, Manmohan Singh will be formally named as leader of the Congress in the Rajya Sabha.More
