Ahmedabad: Gujarat BJP stopped a grievance with the Election Commission against AAP pioneer Arvind Kejriwal for his proclamation that BJP prime pastoral hopeful Narendra Modi won three Assembly decisions in Gujarat either by “purchasing out” or “slaughtering” his adversaries.
State BJP head RC Faldu stopped the protestation, saying the assertion that Gujarat Chief Minister Modi ‘murders his rivals’ was ludicrous and “unparliamentary”.
The objection said that making such charges is a criminal offence under the Indian Penal Code. “It likewise disregards Representation of the People Act and the model set of accepted rules,” Faldu said in the protestation.
Kejriwal’s charges were unmerited and made with the rationale to focus on an individual before the races, it said.
