It is strange to know that few top politicians or Neta of Indian political parties are not contesting Indian general election 2019 either because there own will or not given ticket by parties or forced to give a declaration in public that they are not interested in contesting elections.

- Union Minister and senior BJP leader Uma Bharti said she will not contest any elections in the future though she will continue to work for the party.
- With veterans such as L K Advani being dropped from their Lok Sabha seats by the BJP
- With veterans such as BC Khanduri being dropped from their Lok Sabha seats by the BJP
- Kamal Haasan, In a recent meeting he said: “He was staying out of the elections to campaign for other candidates of the party”.
- Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, wife of Union Minister Ananth Kumar who died last year while serving on Bangalore South seat of BJP in Karnataka.
- Sharad Pawar not to contest Lok Sabha poll as he decided to give the opportunity to the young leaders in their family.
- Lok Sabha MP Murli Manohar Joshi advised by their party to not contest the coming general election.
- Telugu Desam Party decided not to contest the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana.
- Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, will not be contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
